Welcome to Ashington Village, RH20

Ashington is a very friendly village in the heart of West Sussex, approximately 10 miles from both the centre of Horsham and the seaside at Worthing. Brighton is just 20 miles away and both Chichester and Crawley are less than 25 miles away.

There are just under 1,000 houses in the village and we have a total population of about 2,500 with a parish boundary that encompasses nearly 2,000 acres. We have won a Village of the Year award twice in recent times.

We have a great pub, some superb restaurants, a whole load of really great local businesses, our very own estate agent, some absolutely beautiful countryside, a fascinating history, an amazing annual summer festival, brilliant facilities and best of all, really nice people!

Whether you are just visiting, thinking of moving to Ashington or already live here, you can rest assured that Ashington Village is without any doubt one of the very best places to live in the whole of UK.

Ashington in 2011

2011 was a very busy year in Ashington, with a huge number of events organised throughout. From regular weekly activities and engagements to specially arranged outings there wasn't a week that went by without something for everyone.

With Great Ballroom Dancing, a fantastic Skin Analysis Event, a regular Farmers Market, A Great Britain Night, several music events held at the Community Centre, The Red Lion and The Mill House, a liberal sprinkling of charity events which were all fantastically successful, the Ashington Cougars football tournament, a brilliant Masquerade Ball, the superb Village Festival and a Christmas Fayre.
